Hi All,
I can't seem to find my engine number, not model number. I've looked under the hood, manuals, and door sill. thanks,

I'm pretty sure it's stamped on the block behind the cylinder head. It's facing up.
email me your VIN and I can look up what the engine number should be. Sixto 95 S420 87 300SDL |

Sixto,
My VIN is WDBEA26D2HA424406... Another question: My aux fan is running on HIGH all the time. I unplugged the 2-wire connector and it ran on LOW. Is my Engine temp sensor bad? Seem like the sensor is CLOSED all the time. thanks,

Regarding the fan, I'm not sure how the 124 fan works. Something like when the AC high pressure switch is closed (compressor engaged), the fan comes on in low; when the coolant temp is above 105F, the fan comes on in high. I believe the coolant temp switch is wired to the high speed fan relay through the ACC PBU so anything is possible in terms of mixed signals. AFAIK, the temp sensor is not an on/off switch. It's a thermistor of sorts.
