'86 300E - ATF Question

I'm planning to change my trans oil and filter this weekend and I'm wondering what the general consensus is regarding which ATF to use. Since it's going to be in there for the next 25,000 mi or so, i don't mind spending a bit more if it helps the trans last longer. One person recommended that i use Febi brand, but the local import supply house that carries it wants $8/liter. Is it worth the $$, and is that a typical price for this brand. If the price is too high, does anyone know a cheaper source in the Los Angeles area, or mail order?

Thanks,

Gary

Dexron III ATF is what you should use. Chevron, Castrol, Valvoline, basically any name brand Dexron III ATF available in the U.S.
