Distributor Coil Dead - Need new one

need new distributor coil for 1993 400e, for the right bank of cylinders. Anybody know a place to get one for the cheapest price? And of course, how hard is the install?

Click on the FastLane link at the top of this page. Looks like $135 plus shipping for a coil. You won't get better service than from Phil and you'll be supporting this forum.

Seems straightforward to replace but I don't know how tight the 400E engine bay is.

How do you know your coil is bad?

there is a nasty smell, and what looks like goo on the left side of the positive coil and then a hardened something on the right side. Then when you remove the wire from the coil to the distributor, both of the things are corroded (white). And then of course, the left bank of cylinders arent firing so i guess thats what started the whole thing :( . My 400e is now a 2.1 liter car.

picked up a new one at Napa Auto Parts for 121.50, installed it in 30 mins. Car is running like new. The old distributor was cracked. Ill try to get pics of it in a bit.
