1992 300E m103 head gasket

Been watching my coolant bottle and it looks like I continue to get oil as I've already flushed it. Read a bunch of posts and gone thru the cd manual a bit; it looks like got most of it covered to do a head gasket replacement. Just a few questions:

1. Take the hood off? Need something(engine hoist) to pull the head off or can two guys lift it off and place it back?

2. Best to remove radiator and fan assy?

3. Does the m103 have 12 point torx bolts like the m104?

4. Seems its easier to leave manifolds in the car on m103?

5. Take cam out before or after head is removed?

Thanks, Jeff

If your car is like mine, there's a second position for the hood where it can stand straight up for service. In my garage it almost touches the garage rafters.

It is possible to remove the manifolds from the head first, but I think it's much easier to leave them on and find a friend to help you. The trick is to remove it gingerly without banging it around under the hood. I have an engine hoist, but for my car I used a winch to lift the head and rolled the car backward.

Thanks Kestas

Always appreciate your guidance. I'll see if my hood goes up further also to gain better access.
