One other thing in regards to my previous post (300e rough idle).The tach shows steady at 7500-7700 rpms, it moves very little if at all.

Is this with the key on or off. If with key off, the movement in the tach is kaput. With key on, same possibility, but.. may also be a loss of ground..

Sorry Jeffsr,
I stated that wrong. The tach works fine, what I meant to say is,"with the rough idle, the tach doesn't vary, it reads as if there's no rough idle". Just as if the car is running smoothly, if I stepped on the gas the tach reads normal. |

The tach movement is damped so that the tach will give a reasonably average reading. I assume you mean 750 RPM not 7500. You would have to have a really grossly rough idle to get it to bounce the tach very much..
