The sunroof on my 1986 420SEL is not closing flush with the roof. You can push it up from the inside, but bumps in the road or closing the door hard will knock it down again. This has just happened lately. I'm worried if it settles any lower water will get in. It already makes windnoise a major problem on the highways. I have heard that often it is a matter of the lifter angles. How do I get the roof out so I can see what is going on? Could my problem be due to something else? Also I can't work the manual close from the trunk. Any tips?
Thanks ------------------ Jason Priest 1986 420SEL |

The 1986 & 87 cars had many sunroof problems, & even TSB on repairs. Normaly s/roof repairs aren't DIYer friendly. However the W126 CD has much of this info.
