Rough on acceleration

Wonder if anyone has had this problem. I have a 1980 280se (euro)-great car. Problem is that I have to get rid of it because I already have 5 cars. I live in Florida & never came with a/c (which I never minded). Anyway, I'm having trouble trying to sell it because it is alittle rough on acceleration. I took out injectors & sprayed them with carb cleaner-didn't seem to do anything. Didn't want to spend alot on new injectors-because won't be getting much selling it. Was hoping on getting at least $1000, has alot of new stuff & updated wheels (looks like 1991). Idle isn't rough (so that rules out ignition system)-I know it's the injectors-is there a cheap way of cleaning them?

Hello Metoxes,
usually this kind of problem on your type of car is caused by a faulty warm-up regulator (bad hole upon acceleration) or faulty suppressors (misfiring of individual cylinders). Don't rule out the ignition, because an insulation fault on the HV-string particulary shows upon high engine load. It's the high voltage demand that makes a suppressor/cable end collapse under acceleration.
Get out the ohm-meter and measure the suppressors. The resistance value is marked on them (1k or 5 k ohm)
All the best,
Dokta
