At last temp in Dallas has fallen off to low 70's in the morning, and I am experiencing
difficulties in starting in the morning. How do I check for the glowplugs? ------------------ 87 300D 161k 00 S2000 87 944S 89k 99 Yam M/C R6 |
You start at the glow plug relay. Take off the cover and you will see a big plug and a small. The big plug is numbered 1-6. This is the number of the glow plug is goes to starting from the front of the engine.
I test by applying power to each pin for 10 seconds while reading the amperage. IF the amperage is above 15, you are oK on that plug. Amperage is not a word. The correct term is current or electrical current. Also you don't apply power, you apply a voltage which causes current to flow.
Correct terminology makes for better understanding. P E H |
