I'm very pleased with the 6cyl turbo diesel in my '87 300TD. I can't imagine what an amazing engine MB must have put in 'em 10 years latter.

I had a '96 E300 diesel. It was the worst nightmare of a car I ever owned. I was actually very near to pursuing a new car under the lemon law.

After all that, I'm enough of a fool to buy another new Benz. I will get my new manual transmission C Class this week. I love a manual transmission Benz enough, that I will take a chance. MBUSA turned their back on us manual transmission fans for so long, that I can't overcome my pent up desire for a new manual transmission Benz.

I've ridden in several of these cars in Europe with a manual transmission. They are very common taxis. What a neat car to have a manual in.

Have a great day,

Engatwork is correct the turbo was made 1998 thru 1999 and then discontinued. It is a great car.
