Need help to identify this part
 

Just bought a 1992 W124 200E. Noticed that previous owner disable the part (unplag a 2 pin wire). Need you help to identify the part and is it ok to leave it unconnected? I have attached the drawing from my owner's manual and circle the unknow part in red circle.

Looks like the auxillary water pump operated by the automatic climate control system. Everything will work fine, but you may notice a lack of heat at slow speed.

It is in deed the aux water pump. The previous owner likely umpluged it because it was shorted open and allowing hot water to continuosly flow to the heater core. Need to replace it before the weather gets cold again but it is fine for the summer months.

Thanks all for your reply. Guess it will be ok to leave it unpluged as I am in Singapore where the weather is hot all year round.
