My girlfriend`s 190 16V started to make some additonal noises over the weekend. Turns out to be a cracked header. Plan on removing and welding. Anyone ever experienced this before? Any potential problems I should expect? Thanks.

These pipes are made from stainless. I know they aren't shiny, but I know that they are some sort of alloy.
I'd check with a professional welder before doing this. ------------------ Benzmac: Donnie Drummonds 300E ASE CERTIFIED MASTER AUTO TECHNICIAN SERVICE MANAGER FOR 14 BAY FACILITY MERCEDES SPECIALIST 8 YRS PARTNER IN MERCEDESSHOP.COM |

Benzmac, I discovered that last night. Magnet wouldn`t stick to it, I figured it was stainless., I`ll drop it off at a shop that specializes in welding. Anything special on the removal? T.
