The seats in a 240D that I am considering buying are broken down. The MB-TEX is fine but the horse hair padding is shot. Any ideas?

The pads are like tires, they wear out and need replacing. Replace them before it ruins the covers, they are expensive. Also note that it is not uncommon for the bottom springs to break down and need replacing. If you are handy this can be a do it yourself, but I took mine to the local uphostery shop. Ed

You might also contact Precision Auto Designs. I recently got a catalogue from them and one of the items they list is replacement pads
They are at www.precisionauto.com or 1-800-222-7253 Lots of nice stuff! Good luck ...tracy |
