Call or email Rusty at www.***************
They sell a 1oz tin for $5 + $1 shipping

Edit: I just noticed you're in Ontario. So am I.
I ordered from Rusty and they do ship to Ontario ($1.5 shipping I believe). Just make sure they ship with USPS rather than UPS ($$$ custom/broker fees).
Too bad I just ordered one for me and one for another shopforum member in the GTA recently.

It's the proper grease to use in your sunroof.

A sunroof is a sunroof. Must be some options. What are they?

It has to be metric paste:D

And to try and start another oil war: What about using synthetic sun roof paste?

forp 06-10-2004 01:15 AM

Synthetic sun roof paste is iffy. Castrol,s version is not a true synth, Mobil 1 sun roof paste is only a true synthetic if the date code starts with a 2, and the MB paste(not synthetic) warns that opening the sun roof when temperature is below -10 degrees F could damage the paste. If you have to open your sun roof when temp is below -10 degrees F, then a true synthetic should be used.
Hope this helped, Dan

Here we go .....

Only cars that came from the factory with synthetic sun roof paste should use synthetic sun roof paste.

The ones that didn't shouldn't unless no other paste is available and then of course the sunroof shouldn't be opened in the first place...... well, of course, it couldn't be opened, so it doesn't matter.

Mercedes paste is made from the skin oil of Schwabian maidens. That's why it's so expensive.

What about those sunroof paste addivites, such as Dura-ultra slick-slide 2100?
They claim they applied the paste with the additive, scraped all of the paste off, then opened and closed the sunroof 30,000 times with no damage or overheating.

haasman 06-10-2004 08:16 PM

well I have heard that is true, but only holding the transmission in first gear. Something to do with the internal cabin pressure inversely proportional to intended acceleration.

Dura-ultra slick-slide 2100 must be applied directly to the Schwabian maidens to achieve the 30,000 cycles of unprotected sliding without overheating.
