Coolant temp sensor measurement
Hi All,
If I measure the RESISTANCE between the two pins on the Coolant Temp Sensor (2-pin type), would this be a viable test? I have the CD for the values T vs R, as well as instructions on measuring it via pin 7 or 21 of the N3 (KE Ctrlr), but am wondering why didn't they just instruct measurement from the pins on the sensor itself... This is a thermistor type of switch/sensor right? thanks, |
No, that isn't a good test. Measure each pin to ground. They should be with-in 5% of each other.

test
Should I test it by testing 1 pin while the other is connected? I'm assuming the car should be running @ temp right?
If I follow the CD, do I need the harness for the KE CONTROLLER or having it off is feasible? thanks, |
