no lowbeams...
 

I have no low beams on my 99 c230k! Good thing I have fog lamps that look like low beams at night, otherwise I would need to use my brights!!
Just replaced bulbs last year, I don't believe they are burnt out (both stopped working at the same time). Fuses are all good... Could it be a relay? where is it located and what does it look like?
Any other suggestions?

do the low beam fuses get power with the switch on for low beams?

What is the best way to check that? I just checked all the fuses with a fuse tester that lights up if they are not blown...

Low Beams Problem
 

I have a '95 E420 and the high beams quit working. I checked fuses, bulbs, etc. A mechanic told me what the problem ended up being. With the ignition off (electrical system unenergized)... where the high/low beam lever goes inside of the steering column, there is a small plastic cover (goes around the level) that seals from dust/dirt. Remove that carefully if needed. Use a can of compressed air or the equivalent of TV tuner cleaner (at Radio Shack) and blow/clean off the beam electrical contacts. The TV tuner cleaner is for cleaning electrical mechanisms and evaporates in seconds. In my case, the high beam contact had some sort of light contamination on it that kept it from making contact. Lights worked fine after that. This is a free first step to rule out, before investing in an electrical diagnosis.
