98 E430 probably need blower regulator
Just want an update after reading replies to a search on blower regulator for w210's.
If I get under the passanger side and remove the cover and plate I will see the blower. Do I need to remove the blower to get to the regulator? Can I use the 140 blower regulator that is on fastlane for my 98 w210? It looks to sell for about $270.00 bucks. The stuff for regulators for the E430 comes up not in stock. Finally if I have to order a new blower for the w210, does the one on fastlane include the regulator with the blower? It seems to go for around $470 bucks. Thanks.

You do not need to remove the blower to get to the regulator. Once you remove the plate, it is a little white rectangular item held on by 2 screws to the blower.
The regulator for your E class is not available by itself. MB has updated the regulator and blower and you will have to replace the entire thing. The 140 regulator will work perfectly. You will just have to extend the wire harness. Good luck.

OK, bought the 140 Behr regulator from Partshop. In fact, it didn't come with the extension cable that seemed to be what was called for(i.e. remove it to fit the 140, keep it on for the 210's.) In fact, I had to spice in and extend the wiring by about 14 inches, which wasn't a great problem as I just used the old blower regulator's wiring harness. Anyway, It works great.
