Please help 1990 SL soft top parts issues

We took the hard top off of my moms 300SL today but ran into a problem when we tried to put the soft top up. The arms on the passenger side that come up to support itmust not have been aligned properly and broke the metal part that goes around right behind the door where all of that comes up. It is the part that is supposed to bend and open and stay open seen from inside the car while the hard top is up. Its not the large cover in the back. Does anyone have a part number for this need it ASAP thanks.

I am sure that the parts guys at American Service Center in Arlington (703 284 2450) can help you. They will pull up the picture and you will find what you need. Ask for the Mercedes Club discount.

thanks I'll try tommorow doubt they'll be open though. I went to Euro motorcars today but they were closed. They wont ask for any specifics about my MB club status will they?

They might ask to see your card.

They are closed on Sat-Sun. The only weekend parts are at HBL until 2 on Saturday. But they are really limited in what they carry and don't do very well on special orders IMHE.
