I am planning to change out the springs myself. Any advice/tips?
Do I need a spring compressor? ------------------ 1997 E420 (w210) |

Yes you will need a spring compressor.
Approach this with caution. Changing springs involves many steps which require you to "Think Safety". You are rasing the car and also manipulating A Frames and the like. If you are not 100% certain about how to approach this, have it done by someone with the proper equipment and experience. If you are accustomed to doing this kind of work and are equipped to do so, have a ball. I have not seen any of Deezel's much needed and appreciated safety lecture's lately, so I am doing my best to fill in. He is very buisy working and moving his new baby from the West Coast one step at a time.
