190e vacuum modulator replacement question..

I have a new modulator that I need to install. I know it can not be installed unless the tranny is lowered. My question is : Does it need adjustment after installation or install and leave it alone as I bought it. If it need adjustment, that may require lowering the tranny everytime it's needed and I really don't feel like doing that. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Meza
