Odometer

Hello All'
I have a 1985 300sd, and the odometer has stopped registerinDoes any one had any success in removing and repairing same? Heard that the problem may be a slippimg gear. Any help would be appreciated!!

Yes, the drive gear usually slips toward the end of the shaft.

Do a search and you will find plenty of info.

I did the 'loctite' method and it seems to be working well. Need to rip my wifes apart and do hers.
