Just purchased a VERY NICE 1988 300E and I notice that sometimes the warning light comes on to signal that a bulb is going bad. I checked all of them and they all seem fine. One thing I did notice was that occasionally when the light goes on, my left turn signal blinks VERY fast when used. Any suggestions as to what may be causing this?
Thanks! |
i once noticed this also with my car - the indicator blinking at a very high frequency.
it turned out that my bulb was not properly seated, and was not being illuminated. The change in resistance probably caused the relay blinker to blink faster. |
New,
It is easiest to just replace the suspect bulb with a new one.... Ususally the bulb looks fine, but the filament may have a hair-line crack that will cause it to work sometimes and not work others. Rest-assured, when the indicator blinks fast, one of your bulbs is not working.. :( ------------------ William 76 240D (W115) - 550K miles 78 300D (W123) - 200K+ miles |
