89 300E. Well maintained beatiful car, but this is my first cold weather experience with it this weekend. Was about 40 F last night, as opposed to the coldest night being about 65F in six months. Starter turns and turns, but will not fire. Help? TIA, allen.

Can you hear the fuel pump? If you don't, most likely, is the fuel pump relay behind the battery. A block box with "K" something on top, I think...
Good luck! ------------------ J.H. '86 300E |

Good suggestion. That's usually the first place I look. Turns out I didn't notice that the dash lights weren't on either. You guessed it: iginition switch. On our way now. thanks.
