I have noticed that the power steering fluid needs topped up on a regular basis. I was under the car On Saturday when I noticed that the steering gear box is quite wet. The box is wet from top to bottom. The highest wet area is where the steering column enters the gear box. Is there some kind of packing in this area that will tighten up and stop the leak if I put a wrench on it? Any help in this area would be appreciated.

You didn't mention if you were losing any fluid from the weep hole next to the pitman shaft, but it sounds like you need to have the steering box rebuilt/resealed. About $35-40 in parts and 4-5 hours labor (at least that is the rate for my 108).
