Help! Calling All C230 Sedan Kompressor Owners
Hello Folks,
I just bought a new 2004 C230 Kompressor (Sedan) and noticed that the front brakes are not the beefed up ones with holes drilled in the rotors. The dealership had to bring this one in from out of state. I thought all 2004 C230 Kompressor Sedans had the drilled rotors and 4 piston calipers? Can some one tell me if MB put the wrong brakes on my car? Thanks. -Norm |

Did the fancy rotor stuff start in the 2004.5 version? The www.mbklasse.com site has lotsa information about these C's.

I have changed two sets of rotors and pads with in 25000 miles on my C32 AMG. They work great in stopping the car but they don’t last.

Glad to help, nbml430. I hope you really enjoy the car. Many people put C32 brakes onto their 230k's and they say the stopping power is markedly improved.
C32AMG, out of curiosity, is it normal for brakes to wear out that quickly in a C32? That seems unusual. The rotors too? Wow. |

I don’t know what the problem might be. Maybe the pad material is too hard / aggressive for the rotor, or it could be my heavy gas and brake foot.
