reciently, my speedo has been making this light fluttery grinding noise. is this my cable or some gears? my needle slightly flutters till i hit 20 mph. your comments will be appreciated.

by the way, sorry if im crouding up this forum lately im just a profectionest when it comes to my car. it actually runs pretty good for being 13 years old, looks great too!

Some liquid graphite poured down your speedo cable housing should clear up both symptoms.

I notice this sometimes on my old 300e when I push the odo reset button, it gets caught and the grinding noise starts. Also. when this happens, the odometer does not move! meaning the milege on the car is not incrementing. May be this is the problem on your car. Oh the soln ofr me was simply to oush the odo all the way in and that solved it for me.
