The engine will start and run for a couple of minutes, then there's black smoke and it cuts off and will not restart.

I installed a fuel regulator purchased from FastLane with still no luck. It has an aftermarket fuel pump. Could this be the problem???

Roy, What is the history of the car? Unplug the EHA which will put into open loop and see what happens.
