OVP 94' e320

Can someone define what OVP stands for? I understand it is a relay, but for what? Also if the ovp is bad, the car will still crank but not start. Is this correct?

Correct .
ECU ignition is dependent on power fromOVP on E320. -124 chassis..

Over-Voltage-Protection

Simply a spike arrestor/fused , ECU power protection circuit relay...
