1989 30SEL stalling problem

Good day to you all. My 300 SEL went in for its smog and the tech mentioned that the co levels were very high and that he had a heck of a time getting it to finally pass. I live in CA. After he was done and I had my smog cert. my car has a stalling problem as I come to a stop sign or idle around a turn. Before I brought it in to him I changed the plugs, cap, rotor, wires. Aside from those parts I did install a new fuel filter and fuel pump relay a year ago as those were bad. I have read other posts about this kind of stalling problem before. Kind of scary actually as it can happen at just the wrong moment ( like there is a good moment ). After it stalls, it does not want to start. It cranks over just fine but it would seem that the fuel is "off". Approx 2 minutes after stalled, it will start right up again. The car did sit for a good 7 months so I did add injector cleaner to the fuel. One other note is that the ABS light is lit sometimes, I have even noticed that the engine light will flash for a second along with the ABS light and then they both go off. Other times, the ABS light just stays lit. Aside from all this I love this car! Picked it up for 5k and it is pretty much a cream puff considering the miles. Any help would be most appreciated for my current problem.

Maybe fuel pump check valve? I'm not sure if it plays a apart in the car stalling but they can cause hard starting.

help appreciated.

Where is that check valve located? I also heard of an injector sensor. It stalled on me again as I came to a yeild to get on the freeway. Wouldn't start for 2 minutes. Then , sarts up. I t has something to do with low rpm stalling and then not being able to restart.

The check valve is near the fuel pump at the back of the car. Something else comes to mind, there is a decel (sp) switch on the throttle linkage just behind the fuel dist. Maybe somthing is wrong with that part and thats why it stalls when slowing down. Just a thought.
