OK..new user here. 98 C230. This probably is an old one. Do the Mintex pads result in any less brake dust on the front than the OEM pads? I really get tired of cleaning the wheels so often. I am at about 36K and am wondering about when the pads need to be changed. I will be changing pads myself....what's the thought on OEM or Mintex and why? Thanks in advance. BTW...I assume the pads offered here (not the mintex) are OEM equivalent. Who actually makes them ? Thanks dave

Welcome Dave,
As far as the brake pads you will see different views from different people in this forum. I personally have an aftermarket name brand for everyday driving, with no noticeable difference but a LOT less dust!
If you have the originals pads, you must be very close to pads replacement and, depending how you drive, rotors replacement. Remember, MB does not recommend turning rotors. Although they are relatively cheap.
You can do a search on the subject (r upper corner) but, the final choice is yours.
Good luck!

Mintex is part of a Parts group called TMD friction. T is for Textar & they are a OE brake pad company. Other OE pad are Pagid & Jurid. Not all pads for MB made by these companies are OE. Mixtex doesn't make any OE compound but the pads are OK, I've used their race pads on my race car.
