Inspecting front suspension / steering

I've a 99 E430 with the sports option, i.e. 235 45 17 tires. The car has 75k miles and is due for a set of tires. I want to bring the steering / front suspension up to spec before replacing the tires, at the moment the tires are worn unevenly (outers are more worn), the car pulls slightly to the right and the steering wheel shakes around 70mph.

Here's my question what are the key items to check and how do you inspect them? I realize that's probably a bigger question than is wize to ask in a forum but any help would be appreciated.

thanks,

Peter

Unless you drive on some hideously rough roads, I would be shocked if there are any components that need replacement.

The tire wear you describe is due to an incorrect toe setting. You need to set the toe on Zero. That will prevent such tire wear.

Good luck,
