I am selling my 1980 240d and checked to see if John could put new valve stem seals on it... as I am no longer able to bend over for extended periods...

I had to correct this posting..

the guys I had dealt with are still over near Cedar Creek....

their phone was not working the other day...

and I accidentally got hooked up with an MB mechanic which lives closer...
finally figured it out this morning...
I had met this guy 15 years ago...
not sure what I am going to do...

Why stem seals? Excessive oil consumption? Having been there, and done the stem seals, I would suggest a leakdown for additional information first.

If you can get out to the Dripping Springs area, I have just the guy to go from diagnosis to repair. We have two W103 motors apart at the moment if you would like to take a look.
