W123 brake booster
My master cylinder failed. I replaced it and found that the fluid had accumulated in the booster. I removed the booster and poured out 16 ounces of brake fluid. I washed it out and dried it the best I could. Has anyone done this? Is the booster going to fail anyway? It is galvanised and looks great. I am going to drive it for a few days and test it. I already ordered a new one just in case. I'll get the video up soon. I poured 16 ounces of brake fluid out of the booster. Some of it was clear the rest was nasty.

Well, I agree that removal is tricky as you noted. That one nut is awkward !
What matters is how good the diaphram is inside rather than the external appearance. Try not to overextend that diaphram (stepping on brake pedal all the way to the floor when bleeding). If you already reinstalled it, then all that is left is to see what happens ! here is a link to same topic, different car... I tested it and it still works. There is a hiss when you push the pedal so I will replace the booster. It looks like the original one as well and speaks to the quality of the original part.
