WTR: Glow Plug Reamer
 

Looking to rent glow plug reamer for W123 pencil type glow plugs MB 901-053 reamer.

Don't nobody have no reamer for pay to loan?? Only need for a day & return!

I would be glad to loan you my reamer. I just got it from m-source (this one) and have never used it.

EDIT: I realize the link doesn't work. This is the reamer for the pencil style plugs, obviously not the old loop style.

No longer need a reamer for the glow plugs!

18mm reamer needed
 

Ironically, I am now looking to rent a reamer. The one I shared with Rebe was the 12mm one for the newer style pencil plugs, but then I traded my 300d for a 1978 240d, which uses the 18mm plugs. So, anyone have the 18mm plug reamer, preferably in the Portland, OR area?

I took a old glow plug,flattened it with a hammer,and made it sharp like a two edged sword,and screwed it into glow plug hole,to break up carbon.

Ha! How did it work? Do you have a photo of it? Was it one of the old loop style plugs? I'm guessing the body of one of them would be easier to flatten. I may try that.
