Hopefully someone can rent you one proper, but it has been a hard tool to find. If you are unable to get the actual tool, here are the official MB dimensions: 11 mm diameter, and 55 mm long (from the surface where the GP nut sits).

I used a 7/16 inch drill, and marked it at 55 mm to ensure I don't go in too far. My car didn't have massive carbon buildup, so it was easy to insert the drill to a depth of 55 mm.
