Here are some recent pics showing the new (used) dash and a/c vents, and the refinished donor wood. This car was a real bargain and needed only a new thermostat to make it a daily driver. I am working on it a little at a time with the help of this forum to overcome some delayed maintenance items like flexdiscs, oil seepage, etc. This is the newest Benz I have owned and I love it!

Beastie	Wow! It looks great and I know it is fun to drive. My first Benz was a tow truck, then a 1989 white/ palomino 300E, 1990 Black/Black 300E, 1992 White/ Palomino 400E and now a 92 500E and 85 300SD. Honestly, the 300E was a lot of fun and solid a a rock. My first one was wrecked by a friend who was enjoying the "self correcting " rear suspension when he hit a tree dead center at 50 miles an hour. The car did as designed and the engine/tranny moved up and back slightly. He was unhurt. When I went to get my belongings out of the car at the salvage yard it was amazing how well the design worked and that all 4 doors as well as the trunk opened and closed properly and with that MBNZ solid thunk.
