1982 300TD Turbo
I picked it up in January 07 as a running car. The car has had quite a laundry list of events since then!

Picked up with 176,405 miles with no interior or instrument lights. No fan or heat and dead A/C. The A/C compressor was struck from underneath and siezed. The front bumper was wired on having both bumper mounts broken off at the rams. The exhaust flex pipe was ripped and all the exhaust was exiting the engine compartment allowing for much more power and the cool turbo noise but a lot of fumes in the cabin. Bleegh!

So far I have replaced/repaired:

New Left Turn Signal Light
Replaced Front Bumper Rams
Pulled a Dent in the Left Fender
Replaced Left Quarter Panel Trim
Valve Adjustment
New Return Fuel Cigar Hose
New Oil Cooler Lines
New A/C Compressor (Woo Hoo!) The old one was beaten with an ugly stick.
R134a Conversion
Repaired The Climate Control Console
Replaced the Exahust Flex Downpipe
New Axles Left and Right
Fixed the Rear Dome Light
New Grill and Hood Star
Replaced Rear MB Star
Repaired Door Lock Leaks
3 New Accessory Belts
Resealed Power Steering Pump
4 New Kumhos

280EZRider I would hate to estimate the cost for all the repairs you have made, but I salute you for doing so. It's always good to see another MBZ rescued from the inadequate hands of others - probably those who don't realize that the W123 is the most successful MBZ in history. Those who don't appreciate their timeless lines are probably the same morons who put pimp wheels on classic autos. 05-31-2008
diametricalbenz Hmm, let me retort.....so let's see you're a student, and a poor one at that because you can't spell MARYLAND, and you live on mommy and daddy's money who got you a W126 single row chain winter beater to drive to wrestling class but then whined and they got you a W124 and were again whiny and sold that too....and have never turned a wrench in your life and are a noob with 6 posts...yes YOU are a mechanical engineer and know a LOT about Mercedes Benzes.....sod off 04-28-2008
