1988 560SL Sadie Sadie Sexy Lady
I used to work at Rally Motors MB, BMW, RR, in Long Island NY. I left in Oct of 1988. This model would have been one of the last cars I worked on. I purchased this car on e-bay in October 2004. My wife named it Sadie. She named it after the most hospitable bed and breakfast operator in Wexford Ireland. She says Sadie Sadie Classie Lady. I just modified her phrase a little.

The car is a daily driver. I put about 15,000 miles on it last year. It currently has about 129,000 miles on it. It's best time in the 1/4 mile was 15.075 @90mph

Since I've owned it, I have replaced the left side head gasket, timing chain and rails, overhauled front calipers, all underside fuel and vent lines, complete exhaust system, new Alpine MP3 player, center bearing, plus a few other odds and ends. I've also washed, polished and waxed it regularely.

Two of the pictures here are of this car at the 2005 Sikorsky Aircraft Auto Show, where it took first place in Late Model class. The other two pictures are one at the 2006 Sikorsky Aircraft Auto Show displayed along with it's sister SadieInRed and one on PA country roads after the PA Deutsche Classic auto show. I take good care of it but I do drive it allot and I drive it hard.

If you would like to see SadieInRed visit.

Jim B. PERFECT car, perfect attitude for you & car: Take care of it and drive it hard. 05-19-2006
Roncallo I do drive it all year. But I try to keep it home when there is snow on the roads. It also gets washed more in the winter than in the summer. 04-09-2006
Fshlvr016 Nice car. Keep the underside free of salt? I'd probably store it in Winters. 04-08-2006
