1983 300SD

Our current 300TD has treated us so well, we wanted another diesel benz. We set out shopping for a later chassis, but a family member made us an offer we couldnt refuse as they prepared to move into something newer.

Here we have our 1983 300SD.

Typical 300SD (in my limited experience).
Fully loaded, 200K miles, needs TLC.
Dash lights, A/C and right rear window inop.
After a thorough "going through", I am sure I will find more.

Planning to make this my commuter. When you travel 150+ miles a day, you need a little Mercedes luxury.

The body is straight and everything is intact.
Paint on the hood is faded so it is going to need a make over. Will she be Black, Silver, or....(?), who knows. The current Grey does nothing for me and unless I learn that this car is something special, I am not worried about originality. My last 300SD was identical, so I am guessing nothing special or unique here.
