1988 560 sl

I bought this car in June of 2004
I never owned a Benz before had a few BMW"S
but had five different corvettes
The 560 is a great car
Enjoying working on it
Some of the things i did are replace all chain guides ,
and all valve seals, rebuilt air pump replaced front frame bushings and stablizer bushings
Replace all rotors rebuilt calipers, new brakes and lines.
Repaired heater box and replace vacuum pods, mono valve and termistor,replace all dash bulbs, scrubed all carpets, and replaced all leather on two front seats and arm rest
refinished burl on shifter and heater controls
Refinished wheels and installed new pilot mich. tires
Ac converted to134a, new compressor
new convetible top.
Installed cd /radio
Golf is going to start up so the project will stop till next winter.
Well winter is on its way
I replaced the muffler tail pipe
Just installed a new set of bosch euro head lights
I just finished painting the car there is a thread with pictures on restoration forum.
The color is astra silver 735 which is the original color.
I sold the car in Sept 07 and my wife bought me a 00
