Does this make me a redneck?

I got a friend of mine to make a straight exhaust for my 300D, He also gave me an old AMG spilt chrome tip It's a bit loud but it sounds so deep and powerful now lol

As long as you don't put a chrome stack up the side of the car, I don't think it's "redneckish". I'm betting you'll get tired of the noise and go back to a muffler.

Sounds nice. Have you messed with the injection pump? I see black smoke.

It did increase about 1-2 mpg, I thought I would be sick of the sound by now but I love it more everyday. I get compliments on how good it sounds

Same here, I've had mine on for almost a year and I love it, especially in the warm months when I can hear it echoing off stuff when I drive by with my windows down.

Well OldPokey, you were right. I got sick of the noise my car was making and had the muffler and resonator put back on. It sounds sooooo good now and sooo smooth. I swear it has more power now too. I let my friend borrow my car for a few minutes and as I heard him driving down the road I knew I had to get rid of the straight pipe. It sounded like a ups truck with a rusty exhaust. I guess I'm becoming more of a purist lol

I think you got tired of it because it comes out the driver side. If you put it out the back, I'll bet you won't tire of it.

What you should do is run straight pipes right up through your hood. Now, THAT would be classy! Plus, then you could see the black smoke coming out. What a rush!

I actually did have it out the back right before I put the muffler back on. The noise inside the car was not bad at all it was just too loud outside, I did not notice until I heard it driving away from me.

Wooooo Yeaahhh some stacks out of the hood would be saweet!!

Do NOT touch the Treeeimm!!!

If you do stacks, you have to put on the flappers on top, for effect.
