If you get past the first part, I really enjoy it, and sorta wish it would go on longer. Hahhaa. Soon it won't be your cell phone though, right? How sad....can I have it? just to play with it, take pictures, listen to that ring tone.....but not to call/text anyone on it? hahah

Probably. It would seem that Verizon could care less about what you do with your old phone once you've gotten a new one.
