Need Video Editing Software
I finally got all our baby videos (VHS and 8mm) put on DVD. I've been fussing around with MS Movie Maker and converting my VBO files to mpeg for compatibility. What a pain.
I've been looking at CyberLink PowerDirector 8 Deluxe, looks like a robust package at a price I can deal with. http://video-editing-software-review.toptenreviews.com/ Any of you folks have experience with it or can recommend another product? Thanks!

My experience with Cyberlink has not been good. I used a different product of theirs (powercinema) when it came bundled with a tv tuner card. It was unbelievably cumbersome, slow, and crashed often. I downloaded later versions of the software about 2 years later and it was no better, I ended up just streaming it through VLC media player. I don't have experience with the one program you mentioned, but I would steer clear of cyberlink unless they have stepped up their quality considerably.

At work, before we got Adobe CS4, we had the Power Director that was bundled with the cheapo TV tuner/capture card. It was actually great for cheap stuff.
