headlight problem 1972 280 se
After parking my 280 se for two weeks.I took it for a drive.when I turned on the headlights,only the passanger side came on(low or high beam)After cleaning contacts,checking fuses,and headlight switch,still no drivers side headlights.no voltage in any of the connectors.any thoughts? thanks in advance

Common problem -- corrosion in the interior. If my old cars sit very long, they do strange things (turn signals blink the dash lights, high beams make the dash turn indicators come glow dimly, etc). Usually cured by driving a bit and drying it out.
I would guess you have a headlight switch problem if that whole side is dead, but check the fuses, too. They corrode badly with age, and the location above the driver's left foot, is a good spot for condensation. If you have not done so, I'd replace all of them. Peter
