How the F#@$* Do You Get This Out??

Ahem.
I am calm now.
I can't seem to get the head light switch out of my 69 280SE coupe. I am sure that it is like all from that era. Can't seem to get the knob thing off the front so it will slip out the back. I can't find a set screw on it anywhere (like most of the rest of the switches).
Any ideas??
Thanks!

Mine pulled straight off the shaft. Unless it has been glued or something out of the ordinary, should come right off. I think pliers with a rag over the switch to prevent marring were used in my case. I believe there's a nut behind the 'key' part of the switch.

Set screw is there

Look harder. When I pulled mine off the parts car, the set screw hgeld, and it screwed up the knob.

If it's like my Fintail, according to my factory service manual, pull the light knob out to the foglight position. unscrew the chrome nut until you can remove the knob, nut and shaft as an assembly and release the switch body from behind the dash.
Hope this helps.

Happy Motoring, Mark

Thanks y'all. I got it. Still couldn't find a screw so I got out the vise-grips and gave it a good yank. Nothing. Ok, fine. So I'll yank harder. Got it that time. After I picked myself back up off my a$$, where I landed when it came off, I could see that it was just glued in. Oh well. Thanks!
