fog lights for 240d
i have a '76 240d and i live in daly city, ca which has got to be on of the foggiest places on earth. anyway, i picked up some hella fog lights off an old 300d and want to install them. i was wondering if anyone has done this? it seems like the light switch has a setting for fog lights but i was wondering about relays and such.
any help would be greatly appreciated. 240dude |

Hi 240Dude:
I recently installed a pair of the European headlight assemblies(with integral foglights) in my '74 240D and was pleased to discover that the factory wiring harness was already set up for them. Everything just plugged in and worked, except I had to make one branch for my side-marker lights. I don't recall the terminal number for the foglight circuit though. Good luck. Drew |

re:fog lights for 240d
WOW that was easy! thanks drew. after i read your reply i took a closer look at the head light bucket and sure enough there was an empty female plug. i ran the hot lead from the fog light to it, made sure there was a good ground and bingo i had fog lights.
thanks again, john 240dude |
