Window motor Problem
None of my window motors will work at all. I was messing around the plugs and the additional fuses underneath my hood (I do not know what any of these go to. Is there a diagram somewhere?). I unplugged the big silver plugs and cleaned them and finally got my old radio to work (which I have now replaced), but ever since I did that my windows will not work. Are the fuses for the windows located here or are they in the normal fuse box? Any ideas would be appreciated.

look at the firewall on the passengers side under the hood. Their are fuses and 3 giant transistors, 2 cylinders and a cube shape. This happens to me when the transistors get hot...
Just take them out one by one, clean them and switch the two cylinders around and place all three back in. Now try. If this doesnt work then try and get them resoldered, or try it yourself. Very hard to find these damn things, maybe www.adsitco.com can find you some or silverstarrecycling.com. If all this fails you may have to take the door panels off and check the wiring, NOT fun. -Keenan the Haynes manual is your friend... |
