Leaf Filters

Missing the leaf filters beneath the cowl on my 1968 250S. It's not fun.
Before I call up Sun Valley does anyone have any suggestions.

At a hardware store buy some stiff, noncorrosive wire (around 14 gauge copper) and a screen door repair kit (together you shouldnt spend over $15, probably not even $10). Bend and cut the wire to fit over the holes as the original filter would (you can see the channels where it goes in) and then cut the screen about 1/2" bigger on each side. Fold it over the wire and "sew" it to the other piece. It's cheap, it works, and if you do it well, nobody can tell.

You are looking for the freash air filters...PartsShop had them, now all we have is FastLane. Call Phil at FastLane, he will be able to get them for you. I think the two filters were less than $30 for my 108.
