1967 Diesel Fintail for sale

I was up in VA from NC visiting with my wife's folks. Just found a diesel fantail! 1967 200D 4cylinder with 4 speed manual on the floor. Car is all original and interrior is exceptional. It presently sits at Rixeyville Rd. on Hwy 229 outside of Culpepper VA. It is white with tan interrior. No rips, no tears. trunk clean. Body very good. ODO said 70k. Has 200km mileage award on grill and 250km award on grill. Dale at phone 540-825-2556 is selling for friend of his. This guy selling for friend has no clue about this car. 2nd owner is RC Pullen cell phone 540-229-0511. Friend said it was owned by a little old lady who kept it garaged and then his friend wants to sell it. He said $5000, but when I told him he was crazy and that I only gave $3000 for an 1982 300sd he said, "what will you give me?" Need a carfax. Vin #110.110-10-352201

I have a 3 minute video file mpeg I can send anyone of car and engine running, etc. It is 84 megs. I also have pics I will scan today once developed at the one hour photo. Car is in very good condition.

Pictures of diesel fintail in VA

Here are some of the many long awaited pictures. I need to scan the rest of the engine, major areas that usually have rust, but have none on this car, floor pans, trunk pan, battery area. I have pics of it all.

Schweeeetttt!

I love it. Wish I had a few thousand extra lying around...I'd buy it in a minute. Looks like it's in good shape.

Talking

My dad had a '66 Fintail 200D. It was our family's first Mercedes Diesel! It was a great car. So roomy... I think you could fit a marching band in the trunk. It ended up losing compression and Dad moved on to the 240's & 300 D Turbo's from the 80's. Ultimately they got a 300 SD my that mom still drives from time to time. You don't see too many of these beauties anymore. This one looks like it is in excellent condition. How much are they asking?

Here's another one here on the west coast although their claim for "zero rust" is dubious. I would check it out but I have too many cars and no more space!

Reseurection...

...of an O_L_D post.
I was basically raised in this car....not like it, but THIS one. We owned from early 70s till the mid 80s.
Anyone know what happened to it? Perhaps was bought here and someone still loves my old car?

Thanks,
Robert

So, Robert, would you be the 2nd owner,RC Pullen, or the son of the 2nd owner mentioned in the first post?

Hello,
No. Not me, but like 99% sure this is our old car. My dad purchased at American Service Center (Arlington,VA) in mid 70s as used. I assumed we're the 2nd owner, but maybe the third?

Ours had that USA sticker, with the sticker bottom stuck under the metal trim (hide a ding). Those same fogs. Same color scheme. I sold to a young lady at George Mason Univ (might be registered to her dad).
Even same mileage badge (we had '1' at the time) stuck in same place... Same little red stickers, cut that way, on the rear bumper to avoid another 'tap' from behind (hence the USA sticker) !!!

Also, its still in the area (in 2005).

Thats only the second finny I have ever seen with white seats. Although the post is nine years old I bet it's still out there somewhere because it looks like a great car.
