sad 1970? 300SEL pick-your-part
I saw something the other day that still makes me want to cry I think it was a 1970 did not determine the exact year Mercedes 300sel. Blue with black interior I swear it had been waxed in the last week. The engine was clean enough to eat off. There it was on a fork lift just being put out to get trashed. What does a no rust 300SEL go for in beautiful shape back east? I have always loved this car I think it is so dignified and classy. At least part of it will still be on the road I took license plate lights for my 1985 300d EURO with those on I will never get stopped by the police for no license plate light again. This had been a problem because the light on the car was not noticeable till you walked back there with the officer and showed him the light. I will probably never use the real metal window switches but I have a fetish for window switches and for $10 while I will never be able to afford a 300SEL may be some day I will use them in a highly modified 240D. Next junkyard down the street had a 1979 300sd euro with velvet interior second one I have seen in the last 3 months both had nice interiors. Just had to tell some one that might care I get no sympathy at home with my BENZ addiction.

Hayward
In Hayward between the Newark pick-n-pull and the Oakland pick-n-pull There is a pick-your-part same as pick-n-pull $2 to get in but they turn there cars over way faster they are cheaper on almost everything and have better quality cars. The south San Jose has a 1987 420sel nice shape been there 2 weeks getting stripped and a 1979 300sd W116 EURO With the blue velour interior. There is also a 5 series s class 1985. Are there any other good pick your part places in the bay area that you know of?

my favorite is a place called american imports in san jose. its not a pick your part place, but if you just want small stuff for an old car they let you go back and look. last time i was there they had the following
300 adenauer potons w111 coupes w113's 108 250se i think plenty of 107/116/124 etc ive bought some good stuff, 108 euro lights, seats for an early 108 that had good upolstery! the guy there seems to know his benz's too, and is pretty cool |
