280se 4.5 for sale!

Hey guys and gals, If anybodey is looking for a fantastic version of a 280se 4.5 1972 or 1973? I'm not sure yet, Give this guy a call!! I just saw it on the side of the road. Same exact model as mine. I'm actually a little annoyed there's a possible nicer example than mine so nearby. It's white or cream? Tan interoir, No rust at all !!! That i could see anyway and I looked!! Could'nt get in the trunk, so dont know if rust is present there. Odometer read 88000 and change. From the condition I would say its 88 not 188. Don't know how it runs I could'nt reach the guy when I called the first time. I'll try again and update price, and a more detailed condition report. I dont know this person just thought I pass it along. By the way Its in boise Idaho. His phone # is 208-941-1000 Its a cell phone, so the area code should be correct if he's a local boisean. If not, Just post and i'll try from here.

update!!

Just allitle more info. I talked to the guy and he wants 3500.00 for it. A incredible price in my opinion. Work recently done: New gas tank, Replaced heads, Work that needs to be done: He said the transmission needs a linkage adjustment. Nothing wrong with trany, just hard to get in gear? Also, One of the electric windows needs some tweeking, not the motor, just a gear issue?
The a/c works, The heater blower does not. He has not really tryed to fix. Mine doesn't work either and iv'e tryed almost everything. The milage is actual! The wood looked OK. Actually better than mine, but for the true geek, the geek will probably refinish. So if you guys want a good one give him a call. I had mine transferred from Georgia to Idaho for 800.00 So maybe its still worth it.

Hey, I'm a Boisean also, and just saw that car the other day while driving down Harrison. I totally agree that it's a great looking car. The only "damage" that I saw was a bit of the headliner coming down on the rear driver's side, and some trim coming loose on the rear passenger door.

I have a question for you though, are these cars decent daily drivers? You say you own one also? I've seen a nice looking silver one in town before, is that you?

their great daily drivers if you stay on top of regular maintnance. Its the little things that will get you if you are not anal. the moter is rock solid, so dont worry about it ,again if you give it regular maintnance.
I have'nt seen the silver one? mine is maroon, or dunkelrot braun. I only drive on weekends and for upkeep. there is a gold 300 sel 4.5 in town i see regularly. But thats a great price for the harrison car if your interested. It will cost a arm and a leg on gas though. You might get 12 to 16 miles per gallon if it runs VERY well.

Hey, thanks for the reply, and the heads up on the gas guzzling. Great price or no, I can't really afford to get a new car right now anyway, and especially can't afford one that will cost me that much on gas. Hopefully someday I'll be able to invest in a weekend driver.

There's another one for sale in Round Rock Texas. It's gray and the paint is very faded, but I don't see any major damage (only saw it driving by on a cloudy drizzly day).

Shows to be 280SE 4.5 on the trunk lid.

I don't know if it runs or anything, but if anyone is interested, PM me and I'll get some more information.
